Legal Agreement

Terms of Service

01. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) constitutes a legal and binding contract between the Client (“Licensee”) and Sentinel (“Licensor”). Installing, executing, or using the Sentinel CLI binary and associated rule packages implies unconditional acceptance of these terms.

02. LICENSE GRANT AND RESTRICTIONS

The Licensor grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to execute the Software within the Licensee's own infrastructure (including isolated/air-gapped CI/CD environments). The Licensee does NOT have the right to:

  • Decompile, decrypt, or reverse-engineer the binary or rule packages (WASM/SRP).
  • Alter or bypass cryptographic signature validation mechanisms (Ed25519) and JWT tokens.
  • Distribute the private license (JWT) to third-party entities outside the organization.

03. LEGAL ADVICE DISCLAIMER

The Software is exclusively a technical diagnostic tool. The generated output does NOT constitute legal advice, authorized legal audit, or a guarantee of compliance. The Licensor assumes no liability for fines or litigation resulting from the Licensee's use of Artificial Intelligence models.

04. DATA PROCESSING AND ZERO-KNOWLEDGE

The Software is designed with a "Zero-Knowledge" architecture.

  • Source Code: The Software does not transmit, store, or exfiltrate source code or the Licensee's internal files.
  • Opt-in Telemetry: If explicitly enabled, the Software asynchronously transmits only aggregated technical metadata to the Licensor's Edge infrastructure.

05. LICENSE EXPIRATION AND GRACE PERIOD

Authentication is performed offline via JWT. Upon expiration, the Software enters a 14-day grace period so as not to block critical CI/CD workflows. At the end of the grace period, the Software will refuse execution (Exit Code 3).

06. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Licensor's total cumulative liability shall in no circumstance exceed the amount actually paid by the Licensee for the current annual license.
